Denwerks - Another Round of Root beer Please!

Anything for the right shot here at Denwerks. Who said you can't use a farm tractor for a vintage car business, here is proof, right here. We have a set of fork lift attachments for it as well, so the skies the limit! We been using this thing for the business non-stop, its a total work horse!!

Sears Roebuck and Co.

I was at a car swap meet last weekend, in Canby, OR about 25 miles north of Salem. Great little swap meet. What I like about swap meets is not only the cars and trucks that are for sale. But all the little trinkets and such that are memories from when I was a kid. I used to have a ton of Tonka Trucks, Buddy L, etc. I had a thing for old Semi's still do actually, I used to put models together of them. When I saw this sitting in a guys booth, I totally went down memory lane. I wanted to buy it so bad, but didn't want to pony up $95 Bucks.

I am a fan of Sears, mostly because of Craftman tools. But believe it or not, last friday you could buy Sears Stock for .94 cents a share, yeah under a buck! Just 5 years ago they were trading at $63.00 a share. It crazy how fast things can fall apart. I hope that Sears can keep things together, it didn't help that they sold the actual Craftsman brand to Stanley tools a while ago, that was a mistake I think, but what do I know. Today Sears closed at .64 cents a share, not good.

This 1956 Jeep CJ5 Willys will be on BaT next week, this is a cool little Jeep!!! Watch for photos of Stanley hanging out with it very soon! Keep a lookout!

This 1976 Chevrolet we picked up this week is extremely clean! I dont know how I find so many awesome trucks but when I do it's in Salem Oregon! 😂😂

We just got this in as well, picked up this machine at the Canby Swapmeet last weekend. I walked in the gate, saw the truck about 100 yards away. Told my friends when we walked in, "See Ya" next thing you know I am buying this 1978 Chevrolet K10, Shortbox 4x4, with great sounding 454 under the bonnet. Watch for it soon.

ROOT BEER - NOT YOUR FATHERS ROOTBEER!

Yeah this is funny. I told a customer if he wants to buy our 1956 Chevrolet Belair, he better show up with a Ice Cold 6 pack of the best Rootbeer he can find. So he shows up with this "Not Your Fathers Root Beer". Funny thing it turned out to be your Dads Rootbeer. My 13 year old son, ask me if he can have some of my new rootbeer. He comes to me a few minutes later, and is like "Dad this taste strange" Turns out it was Real Root BEER, guess they should have named it "Your Fathers Rootbeer, not for Your Son". I guess, I am kind of old fashion, I like the good old classic Rootbeer, not this fancy stuff!! Keep the good old Rigs and Rootbeer coming though, we never turn this down!!

This Weeks VIP

Stanley "the Bulldog"

Stanley works a lot harder than most. He even does the dirty jobs like cleaning up the brakes and changing out the oil. Below you can see him instructing our new worker how to do things the Denwerks way.

Stanley's also really good at supervising. He makes sure everyone is always on task and working hard. Without the hard workers he wouldn't be able to pay his rent! Here you can see Stanley supervising the moving of lumber from one location to another. Stanley even drove the tractor here!

Silly Laws

By Law in Georgia It's illegal to spit from a car or bus; but if your a truck driver feel free!

In Louisiana a woman's husband must wave a flag in front of her car before she can drive it. Sounds like a lot of hoopla to me.

THROWBACK

1968 Datsun 520

This puppy was very clean. Can't remember what year she was repainted

but we had this rig back in August of 2015.

It ended up going to NEW YORK

The Truck ran like a charm and I love the grey and red combination! Interior was red, and the one and only Datsun Legend, John Morton, signed the console!!!

Life in the Shop

Snuggle Buns is at it again. As you know my chicken likes hanging out in the shop so this week we bought a big bag of food to hand feed her. I learned hand feeding a chicken is slightly harder than expected. It was almost as hard as giving Stanley a bath. ALMOST. Most importantly though Snuggle Buns has been getting used to us all hanging out in her home. She's finally letting us feed her so that's a start! 😂😂
