SOLD - Interstate Batteries Embossed Metal Sign
This is a neat metal sign from Interstate Batteries. Interstate Batteries has been around since 1952 and they do boast one of the longest NASCAR standing sponsor relationships with Joe Gibbs Racing of over 30 years.
The slogan on this sign ‘Power fast. Built to Last’ was used during the 1980s-2000s, I believe this to be an earlier sign. .

SOLD - Original Pennzoil Sign - Double Sided
This is a painted metal Pennzoil sign that is double sided. It’s the traditional oval shape of Pennzoil. The bottom says ‘Property of the Pennzoil Company’ and C & P Signs - L.A. This sign has the ‘full bell’ on it, some of the signs of the 60s and later had a split bell, so this dates this sign to an earlier period in our opinion.
There are some paint flaws, aging, and some spots of minor rust through on it. There are also a couple of paint touch ups and some paint transfer (red and yellow, which tracks with it coming from the Shell station).
We got this sign out of a collection in Dallas, Oregon from a family owned vintage Signal gas station. The family then changed the gas station to Shell when Signal went out of business in the 60s. They operated as a Shell station until 1991, and had this Pennzoil sign in their shop. A few years ago, the daughter of the gas station owner was selling things from their gas station, and this sign was one of the things we bought.
Dimensions: Just under 31 inches wide and 18 inches tall
There are 4 holes on it for mounting, top and bottom, the top holes have grommets in them. There are two smaller holes on the sides, and a small hole in the bottom middle too.

1968 Piper Airplane Pilot Manual - Pilot Flite Center
Very cool vintage Piper Airplanes Flite Center manual, it is a neat collectible for airplane fans and is dated 1968 in the front cover. There are a lot of neat Piper collectibles out there, but a Private Pilot Manual is a rare and cool find!

Pennzoil 5 Gallon Cha-Z-Lube Can with Lid
Vintage Pennzoil 5 gallon bucket. This one is neat, it has the ‘split bell’ where the word Pennzoil is between the top and bottom of the bell. This is an older can, and does have a lid. It’s empty. The lid is on it pretty well, we haven’t opened it to look inside.

Marathon Oil 1 Quart Can
This is an original Marathon Endurance Motor Oil empty one quart can. Marathon still exists today and has been around since 1887. Marathon was once part of Standard Oil until 1911.
This is definitely an older logo and can, I would estimate it to be from the 1930s-1950s, but definitely a pre-1962 can when the Marathon logo changed. This is one of the more collectible oil cans, and goes great on an oil rack with a lot of the old companies, and a rare find!
The can itself is empty, there is a small rust hole in the bottom of it and it has a couple of dents on the back.

Double Sided Ferrari Sign - Illuminated
This is a very cool top mount sign. It’s illuminated and the background is white with black Ferrari letters and horses on it. It has two hooks on the top for hanging it and the sign itself is rounded and it’s double sided. The frame holds it from the top and the sides and it is 110v.
We bought this out of a private collection a little while ago.
It has a few scratches on the face of it, it is an older sign, I don’t know the date, but it is older. There is also some yellowing, particularly at the bottom of the sign from age.
It’s 25 inches wide and 9 inches tall. The frame and face are plastic.

Set of Original Shell Gas Station Stickers & Emblems
Very cool set of Shell Gas Pump stickers, emblems and placards for a gas station or gas pumps. These are as original as they get! We recently bought a bunch of automobilia from a local family that owned a Shell station in Dallas, Oregon. The owner’s daughter was selling the items from their station a few years ago. While we were there, she mentioned that she had some vintage stickers and these were all in her collection. These are great if you are putting together a gas pump, or if you are recreating a gas station. Even if you just need some eye candy, vintage stickers are great.
There is even a vintage Goodyear sticker that happened to be in the box with the others that we purchased.

Ferrari Bertone Polished Aluminum Sign - Limited Edition!!
This is a polished aluminum sign that bears a Ferrari Sticker on it, and has a limited edition number of 16 of 99 produced on it. Also on the sticker, along with the Ferrari logo is the logo for Glasurit, who is one of Ferrari’s paint suppliers. This is a very cool and rare piece for the Ferrari Bertone partnerships and any Ferrari Collection.
Measurements: 13 inches tall x 8 inches wide - Weighs about 15 lbs

SOLD: Grumman Boats Sign
Very cool vintage Grumman Canoe & Boat sign. It measures 71 x 18 inches. This version of the Grumman logo was used from 1929 - 1976, so the sign is definitely older. In 1976 the logo changed to a more simplistic style.
It has paint transfer, aging, and it’s a painted metal sign. There are some dents and dings and imperfections, but sometimes that gives a sign its character, and that is definitely the case for this one. Finding a marine sign is rare and great for a boat collection.

RPM Water Pump Grease Can
RPM is a Standard Oil and Chevron Oil cousin, if you collect any of these brands RPM is a great one to add. This Water Pump grease 5 pound can is in excellent condition! It has clear graphics and the color on it is good. There are some imperfections, but this is one of the nicest cans I have personally seen.
RPM Motor Oil was started in 1936 by Standard Oil to offset some of the earnings decline due to the Great Depression, and was around until the late 80s, early 90s.

Vintage Prestone Antifreeze Jug with Pour Spout
This is a neat vintage Prestone Antifreeze metal can with a pour spout on it. It’s old and the graphics are faded and worn, but a very cool original piece. We’re not sure of the age of it, but the 1940s would track with what we have found with other collectibles of this time period.
It’s about 13 inches tall for just the jug, not including the spout, and the spout is about 17 inches tall.
Prestone started in the 1927, very cool that the company is just about to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

This is a neat Shell Gas collectible. It is a one gallon bottle for Shell Appliance gasoline. it’s empty, has. Cork lid and the graphics on the bottle are in good shape considering age.

This is a reproduction clock that says Route 66 on it. We got this from a family in Roseburg, Oregon and their dad had made a man cave/diner in his basement and this clock was one of the pieces he had. It’s a newer piece, but neat in the black and white. It works and was plugged in and keeping time when we bought it.

Metalcraft 1930s Pure Oil Co Toy Truck
This truck is in very original condition and neat collector toy for a serious collection here. It’s about 15 inches long.
Metalcraft Co was around from 1931 to 1938 and is one of the most collectible brands of vintage toys.
The tires are hard rubber and it has glass headlights in it, one of them is a replacement bulb and just slightly larger than the other.

Marx Douglas DC-4 American NC-2100 American Airlines Airplane
This is a very cool vintage Marx Douglas DC-4 NC-2100 plane. It’s in great condition, it has been repainted at some point. The graphics are in good shape. It’s a nice size, the wingspan is 28 inches and the length from nose to tail is 22 1/4 inches long.

Jasper Engines Embossed Metal Sign

This is a neat sign, it’s embossed and has such a neat look to it. Jasper Engines was founded in 1942 by Alvin C. Ruxer. At the time, Ruxer was the owner of a Ford Dealership. So this is a neat piece for a few reasons. He started branching out because the war was causing business to lag a little bit, so this was another income stream for him.
Jasper is still in operation today, and I noticed that they have this same logo on their website, which is neat.
The sign is older, but in good shape.
There are some scuffs, and scrapes on it, overall good condition but does show some wear consistent with age in my opinion.

1000 Miglia Metal Sign

The 1000 Miglia is a very historic and classic race in Italy that ran from 1927 - 1957. Currently there are reenactments of the race that run even today. It’s a thinner metal sign with a hole in each corner for hanging. The maker’s mark on it says: Printed - Ano - Padova.
We got it from a private collection with some other Euro signs, so we don’t have a lot of history on this particular sign, but it is very cool.
It does show wear, paint fade, and aging and rust on the back and some slight warping at the corners where it was hanging.
