1973 Volvo SCCA

VIDEO

This 1973 Volvo 142 is said to have been raced in and around New Jersey from the late 1970s through the 2000s, when it was sold to a person in Washington state and left sitting. Finished in orange over a stripped interior with a roll cage and a single seat, the car is powered by a modified 2.0-liter B20 inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes dual Weber carburetors, a custom-ground camshaft, 14″ turbine-style wheels, disc brakes, and a front air dam. The selling dealer acquired the car in April 2021 and has since gotten the engine running, performed a compression test, and cleaned out the cabin. This Volvo race car is now offered at no reserve in Oregon with a spare set of 14″ wheels, spare bodywork, a 1980s logbook for the SCCA’s GT2 class, and a bill of sale
