This vintage Conoco banner is very neat, it has the Conoco logo from the 1930 - 1970 era on it.  They promoted their Super Oil in the 1950s.  
 
It’s canvas, and would have hung by ropes that were stitched into the top and bottom seam at a gas station.  The ropes have been cut, but a nice sign for a shop or car collection.  It shows some staining and wear, but wear consistent with use in our opinion.  It has some loose stitching and a few minor holes in it.  There are air vents in it, common of outdoor signs to catch any wind and prevent tearing.
