Bonnie and Clyde, How much does 130 Slugs weight?

You guys have might have seen my 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Fordor, it is on our site the black and grey one, that we are getting ready for sale. It is interesting, I had a guy that stopped by the shop the other day, and he is like, "that is the perfect Bonnie and Clyde Car"! I am like, yeah that would be a great one for sure! Now I do not condone by the way, stealing a car and shooting up the neighbor hoods across America by any means, but it is in interesting story, and some how these 2 clowns and their gang got famous over the event.

But it made me think, I have owned many cars that I guess fit into that type of look and everyone always says, hey that is a Bonnie and Clyde car, and I always say, yep it is, and in the back of my mind I am like, what kind of car was it, lol. I have owned a lot of Great Depression era type of cars 1929-late 30's, but honestly I never new what kind of car they were in, when they got caught, the year, etc, but this car has become an icon for sure of true Americana.

I always envisioned it being black, 4 dr car with white walls. You would think with the internet I would have actually looked it up before, nope never did, til now.

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker 1910-1934, and Clyde Chestnut Barrow (Clyde Champion Barrow, 1909-1934. Yep these are the 2 folks, nice to put a face to the names, I actually thought they were older honestly, these guys were just kids, all dressed up, suit, dress, etc, look like respectable young adults.

In a nut shell, or lets say a Chestnut shell, they and their small gang of misfits, went on a big spree across the Central US, during the depression, robbing people, banks, etc, lets say these guys were nothing good, out for themselves, and taking everyone out that wanted to try and stop them.

Anyways, you can read more about them on the internet for sure, I just want to know what type of car they were driving, and when someone says that to me, I can be like, yeah it was a care sort of like this, but it was a such and such year, model etc.

So here is another shot of it, any idea what it is as of yet? Well it is not Black like I thought it was, and for some reason I thought it was a Chrysler and there are no whitewalls, I guess I got it confused with some other Gangster car from the time, guess I will have to look that one up next.

Well here one is all restored, and its got white walls, lol, but you get the idea, What is it? Its got a Greyhound on on top of the radiator shell.

On May 23rd 1934, at 9:15 Am, a posse of officers from Texas and Louisiana, finally ambushed them. The 34 Ford V8 that Bonnie and Clyde had Stolen, was screaming along at 85mph, which if you have driven a vintage stock car like this with bias ply tires on normal roads, imagine a rural setting with dirt roads, this was probably a hand full. Anyways the Lawman let loose of over 130 rounds of ammunition sailing threw the car, lets just say they were done for at that point. They were killed on a rural road in Bienville, Louisiana.

So lets say a big bullet just the bullet, not the powder, or shell but the projectile. So lets take a modern .45 ACP it weights .737 oz, so say we take that times 130 bullets, which is 94.9 oz, then divide that by 16 oz, because that is what makes up 1lb, that gives us 5.9lds of Lead rolled into this old 34 Ford. Is that were the original term Lead Sled came about, okay I don't think so, but kind of fitting!!!!

The car have been sold and displayed many times, but that last sale was in 1988 for $250,000 and is at display at "Wiskey Petes" Primm Valley Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. http://www.primmvalleyresorts.com/

Whats the car worth today? How many Millions of dollars have been made off of this cars history and display.
